LexisNexis Academic
You may have noticed that the LexisNexis search interface has significantly changed over the last year. Lexis covers a wide range of sources, with current information and statistics that you will not find elsewhere. If you regularly research news, business, legal and government topics, you might consider viewing a training webinar in your area of interest. There is a general training session, a session on Finding Sources, a session targeted for business research, and another targeted specifically for legal research. Check the dates and sign up at http://www.lexisnexis.com/academicwebseminars/.
More tips on using the new Lexis are available on the LexisNexis wiki: http://wiki.lexisnexis.com/academic/index.php?title=Main_Page.
RefWorks
CSE has recently licensed RefWorks, a web-based research management tool for tracking and citing your sources. Free introductory and advanced webinars are offered by the company. RefWorks also offers a webinar on the ‘RefShare’ sharing feature of RefWorks, as well as a ‘RefWorks in 15 minutes’ webinar for those who want a quick introduction or for faculty who want to be able to inform their students. Check the dates available and sign up at http://www.refworks.com/content/webinars/default.asp.
Information on accessing and using RefWorks at CSE can be found on the Mahoney Library website: http://www.cse.edu/index.php?id=2347
