Research at Hospital Libraries

Especially for Nutrition, Science, Healthcare Management and Nursing Students…

Walk-in privileges are available to CSE students at the following health science libraries:

  • Overlook Hospital – 99 Beauvoir Avenue, Summit, NJ
  • Morristown Hospital – 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ
  • University of Medicine and Dentistry – Newark or New Brunswick

Overlook Hospital
Bring your CSE ID or driver’s license for library access. Overlook allows you to use the public access computers for research, use medical and nursing reference books on-site and make photocopies of articles from print journals. You may check out medical and clinical books from the circulating collection, along with consumer materials.

Morristown Hospital
Bring your CSE ID or driver’s license. You may photocopy articles, use books on-site and use the public access computers to do research. Morristown only allows you to borrow consumer sources.

University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) Libraries
The libraries of UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Library in New Brunswick and George F. Smith Library in Newark – require a CSE ID. As a visitor at University of Medicine and Dentistry, you need to complete a visitor’s form in writing while on-site, or electronically for the campus you choose to visit: New Brunswick or Newark. UMDNJ Libraries will provide you with privileges to access online journal subscriptions and databases but print sources must be used within the library.
