Library Hours for End of Summer

With the last of the summer classes coming to a close tomorrow, Mahoney Library will have reduced hours over the next 2 weeks. We are closed this weekend and next (Friday 8/8 - Sunday 8/10 and Friday 8/15 - Sunday 8/17). During the next 2 weeks we will be open 9:00am - 5:00pm - no evening hours.

Friday, Aug 8th - Sunday, Aug 10th: CLOSED
Monday, Aug 11th - Thursday, Aug 14th: 9:00am-5:00pm
Friday, Aug 15th - Sunday, Aug 17th: CLOSED
Monday, Aug 18th - Friday, Aug 22nd: 9:00am-5:00pm
Saturday, Aug 23rd: 10:30am-5:30pm
Sunday, Aug 24th: 2:00pm-6:00pm

Library to be closed Saturday July 5th

Please be aware that Mahoney Library will be closed Friday July 4th, Saturday July 5th, and Sunday July 6th. We are normally closed on Fridays and Sundays throughout the summer, and we will be closed on Saturday for the Independence Day holiday.

The library will be open from 9:00am-9:00pm as usual on Thursday July 3rd, and will resume normal hours on Monday July 7th at 9:00am.

Closed Fridays beginning June 6th

Mahoney Library, along with most other offices on campus, will be closed on Fridays throughout much of the summer. The library is closed on Fridays from June 6th through August 8th. Please note that the library is also closed on Sundays throughout the summer.

Keep in mind though that we are still open Mondays - Thursdays from 9am-9pm, and Saturdays from 10:30am-5:30pm.

Library electronic resources are accessible 24/7, on or off campus. If you need research assistance please call the reference desk at 973-290-4248 or email your question to mahoneyonline@cse.edu. We will return your call or email as soon as possible, usually within 2 working days (at most). If you are seeking immediate assistance after hours, you might try the statewide reference service Q-and-A-NJ. This is a live chat service, available 24/7, staffed mostly by NJ librarians.  

Late Night Hours for Final 2 Weeks of Semester

Beginning Monday, April 28th, Mahoney Library will be extending its evening hours. In doing so, we hope that students will take advantage of this additional time to prepare for exams or finish up any papers or projects.

Extended hours are:

Monday, April 28th: 9:00am-11:00pm
Tuesday, April 29th: 9:00am-11:00pm
Wednesday, April 30th: 9:00am-11:00pm

and

Monday, May 5th: 9:00am-11:00pm
Tuesday, May 6th: 9:00am-11:00pm
Wednesday, May 7th: 9:00am-11:00pm

A librarian will be available at the reference desk until 11:00pm on each of these nights, should you need any assistance.
