Nathan and Aida Litwack recently donated to Mahoney Library a substantial portion of their personal library, thereby enriching the college’s collections in many areas. A prolific and socially-conscious writer, Doris Lessing grew up in the Middle East and Africa. She was exiled from South Africa and spent most of her adult life in Britain. In 2007 she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. Several of her books are currently on display in the library lobby.

Poet Mark Doty will be visiting the College of Saint Elizabeth on Monday, April 7th. There will be a reading, Q & A and book signing, all beginning at 7:00pm in the Dolan Performance Hall.
The Mahoney Library owns a copy of Doty’s 2001 non-fiction book Still Life with Oysters and Lemon (call number: 811.54 D725). [...]
